The Scruffy Advantage
Thank you for visiting our website. We know you could have partnered with a lot of different places. Here at Scruffy City Cards, we pride ourselves on what we call the Scruffy City Advantage. These principles referred to here as Maxims are at the center of everything we do. Like the great General Neyland believed in a fundamental set of core values we are Scruffy City Cards also believe in Maxims that guide us:
1. Treat the customer like family.
2. Deliver an exceptional customer experience.
3. Foster a safe, fun space for novice to avid collectors. Everyone is welcome.
4. Provide a safe and structured environment to grow the love of sports.
5. Make our community a better place.
6. If we make a mistake we own it and will make it right.
7. Do the small things better than they have ever done before.

MAXIM 1
First and foremost, our attention is on creating an excellent experience for our Scruffies. Without the dedication and partnership with our community there would not be a Scruffy City Cards. Our promise to you is to ensure that you are treated like family and shown the respect and courteousness you deserve.
MAXIM 2
At Scruffy City Cards we are dedicated to ensuring that you have an exceptional customer experience. Whether you are a part of our community to participate in live breaks, are here to trade or purchase cards or here simply to learn more about the sports card industry our promise to you is that you will be treated with respect and that your questions will be addressed in a timely manner.
MAXIM 3
We welcome everyone regardless of knowledge or expertise in the sports cards industry to join us and have a home at Scruffy City Cards. Please do not hesitate to ask us any questions or to engage with us through our social media channels.
MAXIM 4
Ensuring a safe community is our top priority. We screen each post that is made to our social media channels to ensure that you are interacting with individuals who are trusted to deliver a product or uphold their part of a deal. Every interaction must provide the customer with the ability to complete the transaction with PayPal Goods and Services which is the industry standard for ensuring a smooth transaction. We will promptly remove anyone from our groups that is scamming anyone or doing anything that violates our core scruffy maxims.
MAXIM 5
At Scruffy City Cards we love Knoxville and the surrounding area and live here with our families. We are dedicated to ensuring that we make a positive lasting impact on our community. We provide interactions with various nonprofit agencies to put a smile on the face of individuals going through challenging times one card at a time. When you see us around town, please do not hesitate to say hi!
MAXIM 6
We no doubt will make a mistake and apologize in advance for that happening. However, one thing that we feel very strongly about is correcting the mistake. Our promise to you is that we will work earnestly to correct any mistake in a timely manner and ensure that we go the extra mile to ensure that our “Scruffies” are taken care of. We will review the occurrence and make sure that we proactively implement steps to limit a situation from occurring again.
MAXIM 7
This last Maxim is a shout out to Dr. Buck Jones, Sport Management Professor at the University of Tennessee. Attending Dr. Jone’s classes at 8 AM reiterated the importance of doing everything better than before, no matter how small. Our commitment to you is to work tirelessly to ensure that you have a wonderful experience at Scruffy City Cards. Whether that is going the extra mile to safely secure and package base cards for a delivery or looking across the country for a specific card for your collection we promise to go above and beyond to deliver a wonderful experience for you.
